Some of you are aware that Amazon has been stealing my royalties for years, both on audiobooks I produced for other people, as well as Kindle ebooks that I published. Recently, Amazon’s ACX (Audiobook Creation Exchange) paid out some royalties owed to me, but they have still refused to transfer over 100 audiobooks that I produced to my new Amazon account and resume with monthly royalty payments.

Meanwhile, after surviving a head-on collision in a blizzard in Colorado on February 15, 2025, my family was left to freeze to death by State Farm Insurance, who refused to quickly pay for a rental car or hotel room although I informed them that my family has been experiencing significant financial hardship.

The heartlessness and wickedness of human beings no longer surprises me. The evil of the rich and greedy, and the corporations that they control, has become so redundant that I have transitioned from being a victim of it, and becoming infuriated by it, to being a quiet and expectant observer of it. I am no longer interested in crying out for help, from either the general public, fans, family members or friends, nor in seeking the assistance of any professional legal advisor or law enforcement agency.

Asking people for help has proven to be a humbling and embarrassing waste of time. My time is better spent creating.
I am simply going to go forward, creating new content, and moving as far away from using other people’s platforms as I can.
Any agreement with someone else’s platform is always the same, whether it is YouTube, Amazon, Facebook, X, Instagram, PayPal or some other website:
- Such agreements are made with groups of strangers that you don’t know;
- Such agreements grant them the power to significantly alter your life with the click of a mouse.
The real power of the internet is building your own website, and valuing your own content as much as these social media websites do, which is the subject of one of my next books.
I invite you to check out my article Social Media: Renting Castles on Foreign Soil.
